A consumer health librarian is provided to the residents of Sussex County by the Delaware Academy of Medicine’s “Delaware Health Source” program. The librarian helps people research health issues, and recommends books or DVDs for them to borrow for free, with a Delaware library card. The librarian is available for health information consultations in person, by phone, and via e-mail or U.S. mail. Both English and Spanish language materials are available. Delaware Health Source – Sussex County is based at the Lewes Public Library.
